Weekly Notes 🐻

Start saving your pennies and change. Pennies for Patients is starting soon!

When I was young, I loved to read. (I still do!) You would often find me at the library. I have fond memories of sitting in one of the rooms reading. I would take out as many books as was allowed; at that time, not half as many as one can check out now.

I moved away from my home town for a while but eventually returned for some time. The apartment I rented was directly across from that library. It indeed was like coming home. When I walked in… nothing had changed! It was like coming back to an old friend.

So…when was the last time you took your child to the library? I have been to the libraries in Belle Rose and Napoleonville. There are plenty of books there for your child to enjoy; no matter what their age. They have many activities; pumpkin painting, Storytime, craft making, Lego hour, and much more. There are activities for adults too.

Reading is so vital to a child’s success, not only in school but in life. It doesn’t matter what you read. Just read!

Have a good week!
